The new GS1 Brand Building Framework lays out the foundational changes we need to implement to bring GS1 to a new place, a position where customers are at the centre of everything we say and everything we do. To get to that place we need to revitalise the GS1 brand by prioritising three critical mindset changes: (i) starting with a deep understanding of and addressing the core needs of our customers in all our messages and actions, (ii) unifying the brand around key benefits that are uniquely relevant to all our customers, and (iii) more effectively presenting our offer to meet the specific context of each sector.
• Background: There is a clear need to evolve and modernise GS1 positioning as, despite 50 years of practice enabling business process efficiency across supply chains, GS1 is not broadly known or easily understood. We lack relevance around key global trends/topics such as the transition towards a digital/AI-powered and sustainable future and we are also not well positioned amongst new potential target audiences, such as digitally native companies, C-level or commercial functions, and regulators in many instances.

• Why attend? Fundamental piece of work for all our Engagement and Marketing work, key element of the overall Vision 2030 project

Pecha Kucha, which roughly translates to “chit-chat” in Japanese, is a unique presentation format where MOs will share their favourite topics, the topics that they are proud of! Each speaker will have 10 slides with just 30 seconds per slide, resulting in a dynamic 5-minute talk.
