Enable digital transformation through marketing
GS1 has successfully harmonised the way the GS1 brand appears to users around the world. In order to continue to be successful, we need to ensure that the brand is aligned with GS1’s strategy and offer: enabling digital transformation. We also need to keep pace with changes in technology and user behaviour/requirements, and provide the most effective tools possible for MOs to implement the brand. We are offering a GO Marketing Workshop that will be ready in time for the 2020 Regional Forums. Attendees will learn about these projects in more detail so that they can plan for localisation and use of the updated web design.

Informing consumers off-label : the Alcoholic Beverages challenge

This is the meeting of the GS1 in Europe group on consumer transparency for alcoholic beverages who will discuss the latest developments on how to inform consumers, online and offline, on ingredients and nutritional declarations of alcoholic beverages.

Global Data Model: Hey Ho Let's Go!

After a successful foundational meeting on the implementation and governance of the GS1 Global Data Model (GDM), we will now continue with the setup and planning of the governance of the European layer. Hear about where the European MOs and the industry partners are with implementing the GDM. The governance process will also be explained and started. And the next product category in the GS1 Global Data Model will be discussed. This session is open for all! The Fruit & Vegetables Sector is a front-runner in cross-border data exchange and in establishing a future-proof supply chain. During this session get insights from user companies on how they use GS1 standards to exchange data and an outlook on the integration of the Fruit and Vegetables data model within the GS1 Global Data Model.

Transport & Logistics, digitalisation and standardisation must go hand in hand
The COVID crisis emphasized the need for digitalization in Transport and Logistics, more quickly than ever. National, european and international regulations are also on the same path.
From contactless transport to modernized logistic labels and better traceability, the GS1 Standards are on the front row. Learn how GS1 is helping to facilitate this digitalization with new initiatives such as the Scan4transport label and through her participation in the FENIX project, a European funded project where 6 GS1 member organisations under the leadership of GS1 Germany, aim to develop the first federated data network to harmonise the exchange of logistics information along the nine major EU transport corridors.
We will also present the new Centre of excellence for T&L which aims to define new ways of working across GS1, where volunteering MOs or Regions will be taking responsibilities for some global activities, to achieve our goals more quickly.

In this session we talk about how GS1 can help keep the promise to industry to ensure all products, everywhere, have a valid GTIN with related product information (including a picture through the European project Picture It) available in the GS1 Registry Platform… that can verified globally.

Global Location Number (GLN) is being modernised from the ground up. This session will overview why GLN matters to you, what has been done already, and what is to come. Improved guidance, new standards, and an expansion to the GS1 Registry Platform are all on the agenda.

Training session: Every GS1 barcode is a URL - Discover the GS1 Resolver
Products, shipments, locations - anything that has GS1 identifiers - can now be linked to one or more online resources. GCP licensees can easily point to traceability information, product details, instruction manuals, promotions and more. It means that GS1 barcodes and RFID tags are now more functional and more valuable than ever before.
The service that makes this possible - at scale and for free - is the GS1 resolver. In this session, you will find out how GCP licensees and solution providers can use it and experiment with it.
